After sewing Anne from Green Gables, I thought about another doll. I made 3 heads. One of them was more boyish than girlish. At one point, I thought that after a slight remodeling, it would be the perfect head for Ron Weasley. I also knew immediately how I would like to do it. In my head, he was sitting in a chair in the Sorting Hat.
I knew that I could handle the doll and clothes, the chair was a problem. I have never worked in wood. At first I decided to order them from some carpenter.

However, the price of PLN 300 cooled my enthusiasm. For a brief moment, I thought about changing the concept, but the original vision wouldn’t go out of my head. My brother-in-law recommended a few stores with wooden elements. In one of these stores, I bought wooden slats, which, after gluing, served as the legs of the chair. I used discs bought on Allegro as a seat. They had the right diameter, but was too thin, and I had to glue 4 such discs together.

At first, I thought that I would stick all the elements with wood glue. However, this concept has completely collapsed. Regardless of how long the drying took place, the legs were not stable. They had to be screwed to the seat. Fortunately, it went without any major problems. Then only staining and varnishing. I do not have a separate studio, so I work in the living room. Unfortunately, working in wood is very dirty and I don’t think I will decide to do it again.

Despite some minor problems, everything worked out and I can show you my Ron. A month ago he was in my head, and today he is sitting on the chair I made.
