In the last post I was wondering whether to finish this doll or start sewing a new one. However, I decided to give her a chance and I am very happy about it. I have not styled her in any known character. I wanted her to be an ordinary girl. And I think it worked. She looks like the girl you meet on the playground.
I sewed her dress and tights. I knitted a sweater. When I looked at her, I missed something. I decided to make a scarf as well. And it was probably a bull’s eye. It was such a complement to a sweater. It made him feel gentle.
The only thing I think about is the issue of the glasses. I wonder if she should have them. She looks softer without glasses, but thanks to glasses she becomes more interesting. It takes on expression. She will be wearing glasses for now. You can always take them off if someone wants to.
I’m glad I finished this doll. It turned out really cool. I liked her very much. I also hope someone will like her as much as I do. This will be my third doll that I will put up for a charity auction for Ukraine. We have already got used to the war in Ukraine. Emotions have subsided, fewer and fewer people decide to provide support. I promised myself that I would allocate a few more dolls to auctions for Ukraine. I just hope that there will be people who will like the dolls and will be willing to bid them at the auction. Then both sides will support the righteous goal.
