I decided to sew as many bats as I needed enough material. I was able to carve out 5. I never thought it would take me so long to sew them. In my spare time, I sewed them for almost 10 days. Sometimes it was really long evenings. Several times I had to take breaks because my hands could no longer bear the load. By the way, I learned how hard it is to sew something by hand only. I don’t know how tailors did before they invented the sewing machine.
This morning the bats were fully ready. I decided to make a Hallowin photo session for them. I imagined that when there were six bats, it would be nice to arrange them for a photo. In the end, their number did not matter during the photo session. It was difficult to arrange them so that all 6 looked nice in the photo. There are up to 3 of them in one photo.
Three of the sewn bats will go to my daughter’s closest friends. My daughter will be taking them to school tomorrow. I decided to sell the remaining 2 at an auction for Ukraine. I’ve done this with a couple of dolls before. When I showed the first bat on my facebook group, everyone liked it very much. So I hope they sell well. We’ll see.
