Sewing took me a few evenings but I can already boast of a doll made of a pattern modified by me. Honestly speaking, I thought that since I sew clothes for myself and my daughter, it would not be so difficult to transfer it on a micro scale. Unfortunately, when sewing clothes for the dwarfs, you have to work a lot more. And pay a lot of attention to limiting the number of seams. The doll has a vest because I gave up sewing a sweatshirt. Firstly of all, I couldn’t buy such a small zipper anywhere. Secondly, when I sew out the sleeves, front, back and hood, I had a lot of stitches that did not look the best after putting on the sweatshirt. It looked the worst in the shoulder area. When sewing the vest, I definitely limited the number of seams and cut the whole thing out of one piece (excluding the lining, of course).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The second problem I encountered was hair. The first time I used hair bought on aliexpress. These are hairs on a tape, to be glued or sewn on. I chose the latter and everything was fine except for the end. In all video tutorials, the hair is glued to the doll’s head in a circle. Only somehow it is not clear what to do in the end. The instructors either don’t show it or show it in a way that I don’t like because it’s just not aesthetic. Now I know why most dolls have hats sewn permanently to their heads, or haircuts pinned up at the back of their heads that cover this  ending point. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures while sewing, so I can’t show it, but the effect was so far from perfect that I had to sew the hat permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning it disturbed me a bit, but later I thought that it was my first synthetic hair and the first clothes of my pattern and idea. After all, it can’t be all perfect at once. The doll looks cool, of course. Today she got a scarf and gloves and got more charm. My daughter is delighted with the doll.
